About Me
I've been climbing for over 30 years and writing software for over 20. They're the two threads that run through most of my life — climbing is how I think about problems and how I unwind, and it's eventually what led me to spend the better part of a decade building software for climbers.
I've always been fascinated by what makes people move — not just physically, but what keeps them showing up. I studied Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Utah, and that curiosity never left. I think exercise gets a lot more interesting when you have goals and parameters. Gamification isn't a gimmick to me; it's how you turn something healthy into something people actually want to do every day. That idea has shaped most of what I've built lately.
When I'm not at a keyboard, I'm probably in the climbing gym or out exploring the world with my dog, Windy.
I like small teams, hard problems, and building things that actually matter to the people who use them.
